Kebab shops are a regular sight on our streets, as our nation has fallen in love with this tasty combination of meat, bread and salad and it has become a regular favourite takeaway – no longer confined to the late-night snack following a boozy night out.

In my Liverpool constituency, I am lucky to have 7 out of the top 10 kebab restaurants and particularly that Botan, shortlisted for a Regional award this year, is a two-times former winner. Having tasted their kebabs I can understand why.
