Posted on 28/12/2022 / by British Kebab Awards / in Media Mentions Three Cambridgeshire restaurants named as finalists for British Kebab Awards Three Cambridgeshire restaurants named as finalists for British Kebab Awards – Cambridge Independent 14th December Mediterranean BBQ, on East Road in Cambridge, Gourmet Kebab, on Cambridge Road in Caxton, and Diamond Kebab, on Arbury Road in Cambridge – which last year was named Kebab Van of the Year – have all been recognised. Finalists from across the UK will have a chance to win one of 20 awards at the ceremony which takes place at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge Hotel, on February 28, 2023. The awards, run in association with JUST EAT and supported by the Kebab Alliance – the sector’s trade body – are in their 11th year and this year have attracted a record-breaking numbers of entries. They recognise and champion the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the UK. Other sponsors include Cobra Beer, Deliverect, EatPlanted, Toast, and Kraft Heinz. Ibrahim Dogus, founder of the British Kebab Awards and director of the recently-formed Kebab Alliance, said: “Kebab eateries are a key part of the local community and it’s great to see so many entries at the end of a year that has tested every business operating in the hospitality sector. “Getting to the shortlist is a real achievement given the competition across the country and all outlets should be rightly proud.
