Not only does Wales have some great eateries listed in the Best Kebab House in Wales but also in the shortlist for the Best Lebanese Restaurant and/or Takeaway.

The Welsh shortlist at the awards – which are held in association with Just Eat and are supported by the Kebab Alliance – includes 10 nominees in Mold, Cardiff, Caerphilly, Pontypridd and Tonypandy.

Reigning champion Golden BBQ, Jasmin Restaurant, Lezzet Cardiff and Pizza Choice in Cardiff are shortlisted, as well as Caerphilly’s Sam’s Grill House and previous 2019 champion Wales Kebab.

Mold eateries Yiannos Fish Bar in Mynydd Isa and Mold Kebab Burger & Pizza House are also up for the gong, as well as Pontypridd’s Choices Express and Tonypandy’s Silver Lounge Takeaway.

Alongside this strong regional list, a restaurant on Cardiff’s City Road, Shaam Nights, has been put forward for the gong of Best Lebanese Restaurant, going up against restaurants in London, Brighton and Bath.

This awards show joins a string of others which have celebrated restaurants of all cuisines across Wales in all its delicious glory from the Golden Chopsticks Awards to the AA Hospitality Awards.

Ibrahim Dogus, founder of the British Kebab Awards, said of the upcoming ceremony and its finalists: “Kebab eateries are a key part of the local community and it’s great to see so many entries at the end of a year that has tested every business operating in the hospitality sector.
